Desal Green roof

Our next Canopy event is all about getting back to our roots (or should that be roofs?).

Join us on top of the iconic Grocon Pixel Building to hear from the people behind two innovative Melbourne green roof projects: The Victorian Desaliation Project and Pixel.

As always, our speakers will be followed by an open mic session where you can ask a question of the group or promote your green roof related products or services.

When -  Wednesday 29 February 2012

Time - Arrive 6:00pm to have a look around the Pixel Building. Presentations will begin at 6.30pm.

 Watch this project Grow

The Growing Green Guide for Melbourne Project: a how-to guide for green roofs, walls and facades is beginning.

This 30 month project is a collaboration between the Cities of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Stonnington and Yarra through the Inner Melbourne Action Plan and the University of Melbourne and received funding from the Victorian State governments Local Sustainability Accord grants program. Using a collaborative approach between government, commercial and research sectors, the Guide includes best practice guidelines and policy recommendations that can be readily utilised by councils, building developers and planners across Victoria.
For further information on this project and/or to register your interest in being involved please contact Gail Hall at the City of Melbourne at gail.hall@melbourne.vic.gov.au or 9658 8097.
